Vitamin D Injections
Vitamin D supports your immune system and increased T Cell count. It regulates the level of calcium required to protect your bones, teeth and muscle function.
People who suffer with osteoporosis or similar really benefit from the vitamin D injections.
Treatment time: 15 mins
What is Vitamin D?
The body naturally produces vitamin D when it’s directly exposed to the sun hence why it is often referred to as “the sunshine vitamin”. However, our climate here in the U.K means sunshine can be sparse (even through the summer months) leading to a huge amount of people suffering from low levels of Vitamin D.
Vitamin D has long been known to help build strong bones by increasing the body's absorption of two essential nutrients - calcium and phosphorous. But it is now widely recognised that sufficient levels have a much broader range of benefits for the body. Whereas, a lack of sufficient vitamin D can result in depression, tiredness, muscle weakness, hair loss and even leading issues with our bones.

FAQs
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime to this treatment.
Does it hurt?
As with many intramuscular injections you’ll likely feel a sharp scratch. Your arm may feel heavy, itchy or slightly bruised at the injection site but these side effects generally pass quickly.
Are you a registered nurse?
No, but be assured I have undergone intensive training and I am fully accredited and qualified. My product stock is ordered in as needed via a registered prescriber.
How do you know what dose I require, can I have too much?
I offer 500mg once a month, if you took more than this amount it's unlikely to cause any harm.
How many injections do I need?
An advised 1 injection per month.
How long will it take for me to feel any benefit?
The injection starts to work straight away. However, it may take a few days or weeks before your symptoms start to improve.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effect of high vitamin C intake is digestive distress. In general, these side effects do not occur from eating foods that contain vitamin C, but rather from taking the vitamin in supplement form. You’re most likely to experience digestive symptoms if you consume more than 2,000 mg at once. Very rare but more serious side effects include irregular heartbeats/ palpitations or in extremely rare cases can cause an allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) but I have an epipen at hand to treat you immediately should this extremely rare occurrence happen.
