Vitamin C Injections
Vitamin C is an essential nutrient for the body. It has many important roles for our immune function, including wound healing, preventing damage to cells, building collagen and producing chemical messengers called neurotransmitters.
Treatment time: 15 mins
What is Vitamin C?
Vitamin C is an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue, the formation of collagen, the enzymatic production of certain neurotransmitters and is important for immune system function.
Regular Vitamin C injections can enhance physical wellbeing and prevent the onset of illness, this is because vitamin C is a natural antioxidant that protects the body against the effects of harmful agents.
Receiving vitamin C via intramuscular injection(s) is more effective for absorption as it delivers pure vitamin C directly into the bloodstream in comparison to taking daily oral supplements.

FAQs
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime to this treatment.
Does it hurt?
As with many intramuscular injections you’ll likely feel a sharp scratch. This is administered in the top of the buttocks and does sting.
Are you a registered nurse?
No, but be assured I have undergone intensive training and I am fully accredited and qualified. My product stock is ordered in as needed via a registered prescriber.
How do you know what dose I require, can I have too much?
RDI for 19-64 year olds is around 40mg per day, smokers will require more. You’re most likely to experience digestive symptoms if you consume more than 2,000 mg at once.
How many injections do I need?
1 injection per per month of 500mg.
How long will it take for me to feel any benefit?
The injection starts to work straight away. However, it may take a few days or weeks before your symptoms start to improve.
What are the side effects?
Potential negative vitamin C side effects can include digestive issues like diarrhoea, nausea or abdominal cramps, along with insomnia, excess iron absorption and possibly kidney stones. If you don’t get or absorb enough vitamin C from your diet, then there’s good reason to supplement, considering how many vitamin C benefits there are. Very rare but more serious side effects include irregular heartbeats/ palpitations or in extremely rare cases can cause an allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) but I have an EpiPen at hand to treat you immediately should this extremely rare occurrence happen.
