FAQs
What is tear trough filler and what does it treat?
Tear trough filler is a non-surgical treatment designed to restore volume under the eyes, reduce dark circles, and smooth out fine lines. It’s ideal for those who feel their eyes look tired, sunken, or hollow.
How soon will I see results?
Results are visible instantly, with the area looking fuller and more refreshed right after treatment. Full settling may take a few days as any swelling subsides.
Does the treatment hurt?
The under-eye area is sensitive, but the procedure is generally well-tolerated. A topical numbing cream is used beforehand to ensure your comfort.
How long do tear trough fillers last?
Tear trough fillers typically last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the individual’s metabolism and lifestyle factors.
Is there any downtime?
There’s little to no downtime. However, you should avoid touching the area, applying makeup, exercising, or exposing yourself to heat (e.g., saunas, steam rooms) for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
Who isn’t suitable for this treatment?
You shouldn’t have tear trough filler if you're feeling unwell, recently had other injectable treatments in the same area, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have certain skin conditions or recent dental/surgical treatments. Always consult for a personalised suitability assessment.
Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
Yes—avoid active skincare (like Retinols or acids), waxing or hair removal in the area 2 days prior. Taking Arnica may help reduce bruising. Arrive makeup-free on the day of treatment.
Can I wear makeup after the treatment?
Makeup should be avoided for at least 24 hours after the procedure to reduce the risk of irritation or infection at the injection sites.
